Emily Irene VanCamp initially aspired to be a professional performer however, she became intrigued following a visit to Katie at the Ladies Room film set. When she was taking acting classes as well, she also got part-time roles in Canadian television programs. The shows she had starred in among others included: Are You afraid of the Dark? Radio Active, Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career when he was cast as the main character Sam Dolan on the WB Horror Mystery show Glory Days. It was cancelled after nine episodes, despite glowing review and ratings that were low. The actress who was born on the 12th of May 1986 was quick to land another part in Everwood. She played Amy Abbott. She was nominated for the award for four Teen Choice Awards and a Young Artist Award.
